Abstract

This research aims to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching materials for Friday Sermon material for grade XII students at SMA Negeri 8 Batam City. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, the study involved 120 students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the development of teaching materials in dual formats (print and digital) proved effective, with e-module effectiveness reaching 89%. Expert validation showed a "Very Good" category in all assessment aspects. The implementation of teaching materials successfully improved student abilities with the highest increase in practical aspects (28%), theoretical understanding (20%), sermon text composition (24%), and sermon delivery (25%). User response showed a high satisfaction level, with 85% of respondents expressing satisfaction and high satisfaction. The research concludes that the development of teaching materials with a blended learning approach and emphasis on practical aspects is an effective solution to improve the quality of PAI learning for Friday Sermon material at the high school level
