Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia faces various contemporary challenges that require strategic approaches in its teaching and learning processes. Based on recent studies, PAI learning strategies have undergone significant development, shifting from conventional methods to more integrative and adaptive approaches. Innovations in PAI learning strategies not only involve the development of teaching methods but also the integration of technology, curriculum adjustments, and approaches based on multiple intelligences. Today’s PAI educators are expected not only to transfer religious knowledge but also to facilitate character building and the practical application of Islamic values in students' daily lives, particularly in the context of the digital era and the Industrial Revolution 5.0.
