Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian Keterampilan Membaca Al-Qur’an Untuk Siswa MTs Di Kota Batam

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable al-Qur'an reading assessment instrument based on indicators of the reading skills assessment program at the MTs level in the city of Batam. This type of research is development research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research phase includes the preparation of test specifications, expert validation, testing, and product implementation. Data collection techniques and instrumentation through questionnaires are presented in the form of statement items to analyze the suitability of competency standards for each component. The results of this study indicate that 24 items that represent indicators of the Qur'an reading assessment instrument meet the valid criteria with the results of the validity of 4 aspects (tajwid, fashohah, gharib, adab). The results of the analysis of the construction of the Qur'an reading skill instrument meet 8 of 9 goodness of fit index criteria so that it can be used in measuring the ability to read the Qur'an at the MTs level in Batam city.
