The context of the Introduction to Islamic Studies course, this course has a strategic role in forming a basic understanding of Islam for students, especially prospective early childhood educators, with the aim of character education for STAI Ibnu Sina Batam students being to provide a foundation for Islamic teachings, forming value-based student character. – The Islamic values of this course contribute to character formation through moral and ethical values as well as building a personality with noble character. It is understandable that this research was carried out with the aim of analyzing the perspective of Islamic religious education in creating the character of Piaud STAI Ibnu Sina Batam students as the Alpha generation in the era of globalization. The library study method is a method used by students in this research. The results of this literature review research show that the role of Islamic religious education in shaping student character is as a guardian of various national and religious values to form Muslim scholars who can become agents of change in the problems that exist in religion and nation. Introduction to Islamic Studies at STAI Ibnu Sina Batam is the basis for developing students' personalities so that they become people who believe and fear Allah, have positive characters such as thinking critically, being rational and having good character.
