Entrepreneurial Integrity in the Qur'an: Understanding Islam and Sharia Economics
Keywords:
Integrity, Entrepreneurship, Al-Quran, Islamic Economics, Islamic EthicsAbstract
This study aims to examine the concept of entrepreneurial integrity from the perspective of the Qur'an and its relationship to Islamic religious values ??and the principles of Islamic economics. Integrity is positioned as a moral and spiritual foundation in carrying out entrepreneurial activities that are not only oriented towards material gain, but also uphold the values ??of honesty, trustworthiness, justice, and social responsibility. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach, through analysis of the verses of the Qur'an, hadith, tafsir books, and Islamic economic literature and Islamic business ethics. The results of the study show that the Qur'an teaches strong ethical principles of entrepreneurship that are relevant to contemporary economic challenges, such as the prohibition of usury, fraud, and exploitation, as well as encouragement of halal, productive, and community-beneficial business activities. These values ??are in line with the main objectives of Islamic economics, namely achieving public welfare (maslahah 'ammah) and social justice. In an increasingly complex global context, Qur'anic-based entrepreneurial integrity can be an alternative ethical, sustainable, and competitive business model.
